I really wanted to see this movie, but I did not want to leave my trusty backpack full of gadgets and tools in the car, to risk getting it stolen. So there I go, to do movie weather looking like I will spend the night there, carrying my big bag with me.
Imagine my surprise when the guy seating a few seats from me comes back from the lobby followed by two ushers, and they approached me and escorted me out to check my backpack.
Yes, that is exactly what happened, the theater employees were very polite, I felt that they were kind of embarrassed. My guess is that the guy seating close by saw my backpack and got scared of it, feeling that it could contain a bomb or something, so he went out and demanded the employees to investigate.
After this episode, I couldn't blame the guy to be so nervous about it, and of course I can't blame the pour employees for it either. I just started meditating how terrorism appears to be winning, whatever their battle really is. Now, they are not only forcing the weak minded to fear certain religious groups, or a race. Now the simple fact of carrying a backpack into a public place makes you suspect of terrorism. Crazy, right?
